UWB positioning tags (cards or bracelets, etc.) can send pulse information to the positioning base station according to the set communication protocol (such as BLE5.0) and communication frequency, thereby achieving real-time precise positioning of people or items (up to 10cm). This kind of positioning tag is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery and can be used continuously for more than 3 months. At the same time, the positioning tag can also realize the alarm and help function through the alarm button.

 

Yint Electronics proposes effective circuit protection solutions for UWB positioning tag circuits:

Power supply end: Positioning tags generally use a power supply scheme that charges lithium batteries through a USB port, which may produce surge current and instantaneous overvoltage. For surge current, it is recommended to use Yint Electronics overcurrent protection device, SMD1206-050 self-restoring fuse. For transient voltage suppression, Yint Electronics TVS device, ESDSR05, can be used to effectively protect ESD interference from the data port.

 

At the same time, when the power is turned on, a momentary overvoltage may occur, affecting the MCU and sensor module. Therefore, transient voltage suppression is performed on the power supply terminals of the MCU and sensor modules.
