Primary Side Protection of Automotive Power Supply
Automotive electronic products such as electronic control units, sensors and entertainment systems are connected to a power source. The power source of these electronic products is a battery or a generator. Due to the influence of temperature, working conditions and other conditions, the output voltage of the battery or the generator is unstable.
In addition, automotive systems that use electromagnetic loads such as fuel injection, valves, motors, electricity, and hydrolysis controllers introduce ESD, spike noise, and several transient and surge voltages into power and signal lines.
When the engine is running and the generator is delivering current to the power cord of the car, if the battery is suddenly disconnected, the most serious inrush current will be generated. This situation is also called "load dump". Most car manufacturers and industry organizations have specified the maximum voltage, line impedance, and duration in this load dump situation.
Into the high power TVS is used to protect easily damaged circuits from electrical overstress and ensure high reliability. For primary protection, TVS should absorb the high energy in the case of load dump. YINT's SM8 series is suitable for such situations.
Take the 14V power system as an example:

| VBR | IT
| Max reverse leakage | Ipp | VC

SM8S24 | 24 | 26.7-32.6 | 5mA | 10uA | 153 | 43 |
SM8S24A | 24 | 26.7-29.6 | 5mA | 10uA | 170 | 38.9 |
ESD Protection
For many years, ESD protection has been a topic of concern for electronic system design. At present, with the miniaturization and high integration of products, the threat of ESD damage has become very important, so the ESD protection level in electronic design has become a Issues that must be considered.
Adding ESD protection to the system is also a low-cost, simple way to prevent some problems in the product life cycle: If there are hidden ESD hazards in the system, it may reduce the product life, cause product failures, failures, and increase The after-sales cost of the product may cause product recalls and damage the company's reputation when serious.
YINT can provide more than hundreds of ESD protection programs and program combinations. This application guide covers automotive and industrial applications. For more information, please visit our official website http://www.yint.com.cn/cn/

NFC antennas
NFC is a short-range, high-frequency radio technology that operates at a distance of 20 cm at 13.56MHz. Usually in NFC design, the NFC antenna is connected to the NFC control IC through a small contact, and these contacts are easily damaged by ESD, which can lead to the failure of the control IC, so it is strongly recommended to adopt the audio solution.

Digital I/O
There are many ways to protect digital I/O ports. Since it is not a high-frequency interface, low capacitance is not necessary. You only need to consider one-way and two-way, several lines need protection, and packaging issues.
