Electricity bills, gas bills, water bills, and heating bills are closely related to everyone's life. The disadvantages of manual meter reading, such as long time, low efficiency, inaccurate statistics, and high personnel costs, are obvious. If you consider the time-of-use billing such as tiered electricity price, Fengshi water and electricity price, as well as power quality (PQ) detection, real-time fault alarm and other functions, it is completely impossible to complete manual meter reading.
Composition of remote copy system
The Concentrated Metering System is generally composed of terminal smart meters (water, electricity, heat), collectors, concentrators, and background master stations.
Smart Meter is the most down-to-earth meter, the closest to the user, and even the home meter, such as smart electricity meter, water meter, gas meter, and heat meter for heating in northern areas.
The main function of the smart terminal meter is to perform terminal metering and cost control management, collect usage information such as electricity, water, gas, heat, etc. from the user terminal, and display relevant feedback information to the user, such as usage, current ladder price, pre-charge balance, etc.
The information collected from the client needs to be uploaded from the collector to the server background in real time (or in segments), and the management background also needs to issue relevant fee control or security authentication management instructions. Therefore, the smart terminal meter also integrates a communication module. Common communication methods used by terminal meters are RS485, power carrier, infrared and other methods.
Smart terminal meters are generally one meter per household. Some unit buildings use centralized meter installation, that is, the meters of a unit are neatly arranged in one location. In this case, a collector can be used to centrally collect the data of each meter . Usually a collector is installed nearby, and manages 12, 32 or 64 meters by collecting meter pulses or rs232 communication methods (you can choose different types of collectors according to the number of meters), and then upload the data of these meters through power carrier to the concentrator.
This also reduces the complexity and overall cost of the terminal meter. As shown in the figure, the main function of the collector is to send collection instructions to the terminal meter, receive preprocessed information from the terminal meter, and upload it to the concentrator or server cloud through wireless GPRS or wired.
Concentrator is the central management equipment and control equipment of the remote centralized meter reading system, responsible for regularly reading terminal data, system command transmission, data communication, network management, event recording, data horizontal transmission and other functions. Divide the work with the above collector functions.
