5KP Series 5000W TVS Diode

  • Package name: P600
  • P600 glass passivated chip junction
  • Polarity: Color band denoted positive end (cathode) except Bidirectional.
  • Typical failure mode is short from over-specified voltage or current
  • Fast response time: typically less than 1.0ps from 0 Volts to BV min. 
  • High Temperature soldering: 260°C/10 seconds at terminals. 
  • Solder dip 275 °C max. 10 s, per JESD 22-B106

The 5KP series of high current uni/bi-directional transient suppressors are designed for A.C. line protection and high power DC bus clamping applications. The 5KP series is designed to protect voltage sensitive components from highvoltage, high energy transients. They have excellent clamping capability, high surge capability, low zener impedance and fast response time. These devices offer uni/bi-directional port protection from 5.0 volts to 250 volts. Therefore, any voltage rise due to increased current conduction is contained to a minimum, providing the best possible protection level.
