What level of ESD contact discharge standard does the console port of a data center switch meet?

The console port of the data center switch, used as an on-site debugging interface, must meet the IEC61000-4-2 contact discharge ±8kV, i.e., level 4 requirements. The solution uses a YENTE Electronics ESDSRVLC05-4 ultra-low capacitance TVS array (Vrwm=5V, junction capacitance <0.8pF) connected in parallel to the RX/TX signal lines to ground, which can clamp the electrostatic discharge to below 9.8V within 1ns. Combined with a CML3225A-510T common mode inductor (51μH@100MHz, impedance 60Ω) to suppress common mode transients, the measured communication is uninterrupted and the bit error rate is <10⁻⁹ through ±8kV contact discharge and ±15kV air discharge. The PCB layout requires the TVS to be close to the RJ45 connector pin differential traces with equal length spacing <5mm.
