Electronic detonator systems are used in controlled ignition environments where precision timing and safety are critical. These circuits often operate on 24 V or 48 V supply rails and are subject to transient surges from external switching events, inductive loads and unintended electrostatic discharge (ESD) impulses. Without coordinated transient suppression, voltage spikes can damage sensitive control electronics, distort signal communication and introduce safety concerns in ignition timing, leading to unreliable operation or system failure.
YINT Electronics’ electronic detonator protection solution integrates high-energy transient suppression using bidirectional and unidirectional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes on power and signal lines. These TVS devices effectively clamp surge transients, reduce voltage overshoot and provide robust defense against ESD while maintaining low leakage and fast response characteristics. The result is enhanced immunity to electrical disturbances, improved system stability and safer performance for electronic detonator applications.
