Gas Discharge Tubes

Yint Electronic Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) is based on ceramic sealed gas discharge technology, providing primary protection against high-energy surges. Its normal state presents a high insulation impedance of>1G Ω and an extremely low capacitance of<1pF, which has almost no impact on the circuit. When encountering kilovolt level surges such as lightning strikes, the device can breakdown at nanosecond speeds, instantly releasing surge currents of up to 20kA (8/20 μ s), and limiting subsequent residual voltage to extremely low levels of tens of volts. The product's DC breakdown voltage covers 75V to 3500V, with high lifespan and stability. It is widely used for primary lightning protection in communication equipment, security systems, and power input, and forms a coordinated protection scheme with TVS/TSS.
