To avoid EMC rework in the later stages of development (DTU), EMC design must be integrated from the early stages. Establish EMC design specifications in the initial design phase, including PCB stack-up, layout partitioning, and grounding strategies. Select proven EMC components, such as the common-mode inductor CML4532A-510T and TVS diode SMCJ24CA. Use simulation tools to perform SI/PI/EMC simulations to predict potential problems. Conduct prototype pre-testing to identify and resolve issues early. Establish a design review process and invite EMC experts to participate. Thorough early design can reduce later rework costs by more than 90% and shorten the development cycle.
