Ensuring a DTU passes ESD electrostatic discharge (ESD) testing requires the deployment of ESD protection devices and optimized layout. A TVS diode array ESD0524P with a response time of less than 1 ns should be deployed at all external interfaces (power, communication, antenna). On the PCB layout, ESD devices should be placed close to the interfaces with short, straight leads. A low-impedance grounding system ensures rapid ESD discharge. The housing should be made of metal or conductive plastic with gaps less than 1 mm. During testing, according to IEC 61000-4-2 standards, contact discharge ±8kV and air discharge ±15kV should be applied; the system should not restart or be damaged. Passing ESD testing improves product reliability.
