For edge computing box structure sealing, conductive adhesive is often used instead of conductive foam. When applied to narrow gaps or irregularly shaped areas, the conductive adhesive cures to form a continuous conductive elastomer. Its main EMC functions are:
1. Filling gaps to achieve low-impedance electrical connections; shielding effectiveness up to 50dB at 1GHz;
2. Environmental sealing for waterproofing and dustproofing;
3. Grounding and voltage equalization to prevent static electricity accumulation. The conductive adhesive has a volume resistivity of <0.05Ω·cm and a shear strength of >1MPa.
A typical application is the application of conductive silver paste at the junction of the LCD screen and the front panel. After curing, the resistance is <1Ω. The radiated emission of the edge box decreases by 8dB from 30-300MHz. Using Etymotic single-component conductive silicone, with a dispensing width of 1mm and a compression weight of 20%, it exhibits stable performance at -40℃ to 125℃ and withstands a 96-hour salt spray test.
