According to IEC61000-4-29, the edge computing box should meet the requirements of a 40% rated voltage drop for 10ms, a 70% drop for 100ms, and a 5ms interruption. In stringent industrial scenarios, a 20ms interruption is required without shutdown. The edge box must be equipped with sufficient capacity energy storage capacitors, such as a 470μF electrolytic capacitor connected in parallel at the DC-DC input, along with a TVS 5.0SMDJ33CA (named 5.0SMDJ 5000W, SMC package, 33V, rule B, actual VRWM=28.2V). This prevents undervoltage in subsequent stages during voltage drops. A self-resetting fuse SMD2920-185-33V (named SMD2920, 185 package, holding current 1.85A, 33V withstand voltage) can be added at the power input to form a delay circuit with the capacitor. Tests have shown that the 470μF capacitor allows the edge box to maintain a 3.3V output even after a 30ms 100% interruption, and to quickly restart after recovery, meeting the requirements of power automation.
