Communication cable shielding ensures signal integrity. It employs either double-ended grounding or single-point grounding: for high-frequency signals (>1MHz) such as Ethernet, the shield is grounded at both ends; for low-frequency signals such as RS485, the shield is grounded at a single point (FTU end). Connection methods include 360° crimping with metal connectors or connection via PCB ground pads. A 100pF/2kV capacitor is added between the shield and the core wire to filter high-frequency common-mode signals. For multi-pair twisted-pair cables, each pair is individually shielded, and the overall shielding is applied. Through this treatment, the shielding effectiveness is greater than 40dB, and the signal bit error rate is less than 10^-6, meeting IEC 61000-5-2 requirements.
