How to select the appropriate shielding for a power FTU interface?

Interface shielding selection is based on interface type and frequency.

RJ45: Select a shielded connector with filtering and a built-in CMZ2012A-900T common-mode inductor.

D-sub: Select a filtered version, or use a shielded enclosure with a ferrite core.

Power interface: Select a metal-cased connector with 360° shielding.

Selection parameters: Shielding effectiveness >30dB@1GHz; Contact resistance <10mΩ; Insulation resistance >100MΩ.

Installation: Ensure continuous contact between the metal casing and the chassis, using conductive gaskets.

Proper selection minimizes interface electromagnetic leakage, meeting IEC 61000-5-7 requirements.
