Selecting the right shielding gasket for the EPS cabinet door is crucial for ensuring the overall shielding effectiveness of the cabinet. Selection requires comprehensive consideration of the following:
1. Shielding Effectiveness (SE): Based on the EMC standard level and maximum operating frequency required by the system, select a gasket with the appropriate SE value (SE curves for different frequencies are usually provided).
2. Environmental Adaptability: Consider the temperature, humidity, presence of oil, salt spray, or ozone in the cabinet's environment, and select a gasket with suitable outer coating and core material. For example, silicone rubber-coated metal mesh is suitable for a wide temperature range, while Monel wire mesh offers good corrosion resistance.
3. Compression Deformation and Closing Force: The gasket should be able to be compressed to its optimal design operating range (typically 25%-50% compression) under normal door closing force to provide stable conductive contact while preventing door deformation or permanent gasket failure due to excessive closing force.
4. Installation Method: Based on the structure of the cabinet door and frame, select a gasket with adhesive backing, slot mounting (U-slot), or screw fixing.
