How to quickly screen for pre-testing of HMI (Human Machine Delivery) EMC (Environmental Management System)?

Conducting EMC pre-testing during the HMI development phase can quickly screen for potential problems and save on later rectification costs. Pre-testing does not require a standard laboratory, but some basic equipment is needed: a spectrum analyzer, near-field probe array, artificial power network, electrostatic discharge gun, small anechoic chamber, or open area. The rapid screening process includes: conducted emission pre-testing, using a LISN and spectrum analyzer to scan the power port for noise and compare it to standard limits; radiated emission pre-testing, using near-field probes to scan the surface, gaps, cables, and PCB of the equipment for hotspots to find strong radiation sources; or using an antenna and spectrum analyzer for a rough radiation scan in a simple open area; immunity pre-testing, using an electrostatic discharge gun to discharge accessible points of the equipment to check for functional abnormalities; using a burst generator to inject interference into power lines and signal lines. The key to pre-testing is comparison and trend analysis. Even without a precise site, comparing test data before and after rectification can determine the effectiveness of measures. Focus on checking known weak points, such as clock circuits, switching power supplies, reset lines, and communication interfaces. Establishing a pre-testing process and checklist, and using Yinte Electronics' typical solutions as a rectification library, can greatly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of pre-testing, resolving most EMC issues before mass production.
