
The industrial AI edge gateway integrates EtherCAT slaves to support AI data processing and bus synchronization. The typical latency is <50μs. To ensure that the EtherCAT physical layer does not introduce jitter under strong electromagnetic fields, a common-mode inductor CMZ2012A-900T is added to the PHY side, and a high-precision DC coupling is configured. At the same time, the EtherCAT slave controller ESC power supply uses an LC-filtered common-mode inductor CML3225A-101T and a PBZ1608E600Z0T ferrite bead. In addition, the MII/RMII signal lines have a series resistor of 22Ω to suppress overshoot. After testing, the EtherCAT cycle jitter is <15ns under a 10V/m radiated field, which meets the CIA402 drive requirements.
