Reducing high-frequency carrier radiation in power line carrier PLCs requires addressing cabling strategies, shielding, and termination matching. Differential pair cabling with tight coupling and spacing between lines smaller than the line width reduces common-mode radiation. Minimize cabling length to avoid long-line effects. Use stripline cabling with ground plane shielding at both ends. Place grounding guard traces on both sides of the cabling, with spacing smaller than the line width. Place termination matching resistors (100Ω) close to the receiver to reduce reflection. Use shielded cables or shielding covers for critical cabling. Predict radiated field strength through simulation and optimize cabling to keep radiation below limits. In actual testing, radiated emission tests should be conducted in the 30MHz-1GHz band, meeting the EN55032 Class B limit with a margin greater than 3dB. Reducing cabling radiation allows the system to pass radiated emission tests, improving reliability.
