How can the shielding effectiveness of the housing of a power line carrier PLC module be guaranteed?

Ensuring the shielding effectiveness of a power line carrier PLC module enclosure requires attention to materials, structure, and gap treatment. The enclosure should use aluminum alloy (1mm thick) or galvanized steel sheet (0.8mm thick) with a conductive anodized surface. Conductive pads (such as beryllium copper springs) should be installed at gaps with a compression of at least 30%, ensuring a contact resistance of less than 10mΩ. Ventilation holes should use waveguide windows with an aperture smaller than λ/10 (λ being the highest frequency wavelength). Cable entry and exit points should use shielded clips or filter connectors. During testing, a shielding effectiveness testing system should be used, and the shielding effectiveness should be greater than 60dB in the 30MHz-1GHz range. Ensuring shielding effectiveness effectively suppresses radiated emissions and improves radiated immunity, thereby enhancing EMC performance.
