Multiple measures are employed to optimize the relay output EMC. A 1N4007W freewheeling diode and a 470Ω/1W resistor are connected in parallel across the relay coil. An RC snubber circuit (100Ω + 10nF/100V) is connected in parallel across the contacts. A PBZ2012E600Z0T ferrite bead (600Ω@100MHz) is connected in series on the output line. PCB layout: The relay is kept away from sensitive circuits. A metal shield is added to the relay. Through this optimization, the relay output EMI is reduced by more than 35dB, lifespan is extended, and the IEC 61000-4-4 EFT test requirements are met.
