The EMC design of an oxygen concentrator must consider continuous operation reliability. As the compressor is an inductive load, its power input should be equipped with an AC power filter, and a varistor (e.g., 14D series) should be connected in parallel at the compressor terminals to absorb operational overvoltages. A freewheeling diode should be connected in parallel across the coil of the solenoid valve controlling the switching of the molecular sieve column. The signal line of the oxygen concentration sensor (usually electrochemical or ultrasonic) should be shielded, and its power supply must be stable. The power supply for the entire unit's controller should use a wide-voltage input switching power supply to cope with grid fluctuations. The equipment's metal casing should be grounded.
