The system's EMC requires an extreme focus on signal integrity. Low-noise drivers should be selected for the electro-optical stage and slide stage, and shielded twisted-pair cables should be used for the drive lines. The motion control card's ground wire and the camera's ground wire should share a single point of connection. The power supply for the scientific camera must be extremely clean; an independent linear power supply can be used, and its data cables (e.g., Camera Link, CoaXPress) should use high-quality shielded cables with proper termination. The LED light source should be driven by a constant current, and the mercury lamp power supply should have a dedicated ballast and be shielded. The entire optical platform should be placed on a vibration-damping platform, away from large transformers or frequency converters.
