Flow cytometer EMC requires system-level planning. Each laser module should be independently shielded, and the drive power supply should be a low-noise linear or switching power supply with strong filtering. The PMT module and its high-voltage negative power supply (up to kilovolts) should be housed in a fully shielded metal enclosure, and the signal output should pass through a feedthrough filter. The flow pressure sensor and closed-loop control circuit should be kept away from strong interference sources, and differential signal transmission should be used. The entire instrument should employ layered grounding: digital ground, analog ground, and shielded ground. All external interfaces (e.g., computer USB) should be protected with isolators or high-quality ESD protection. The instrument should be placed away from large frequency converters.
