Excessive conducted interference on the CAN bus interface is often caused by high-frequency harmonics coupled through the cable due to excessively steep signal edges. To suppress noise and improve immunity, multiple measures are required. Ensure the 120Ω terminating resistor is properly matched to dampen ringing. Connect a CMF series common-mode choke or integrated filter in series near the connector on the CAN line to effectively filter out common-mode noise. Using an isolated CAN transceiver can break ground loops. In PCB design, differential lines must be strictly equal in length and tightly coupled, with a complete ground plane underneath. These methods can significantly reduce the bus's inherent noise, thereby meeting relevant test limits.
