The DC 24V power input filter parameters for edge computing boxes should be matched based on the interference source impedance and target impedance. A typical filter structure is a common-mode inductor + X capacitor + differential-mode inductor + Y capacitor. The common-mode inductor should have an inductance of 51-100μH, for example, CML4532A-101T (named CML common-mode inductor 4532, size 4.5×3.2mm, 101T, inductance 100μH, providing >1kΩ impedance in the 100kHz-30MHz range). The differential-mode inductor can be PMS6045R6R8M0T (named PMS T core, high-current inductor 6045, size 6.0×4.5mm, 6R8, inductance 6.8μH, used to suppress low-frequency differential-mode noise). The recommended X capacitor is 0.1-0.47μF 100V MLCC. The recommended Y capacitor is 1000pF. A 2kV ceramic capacitor is connected across 24V. The cutoff frequency of the PE filter should be 1/10 lower than the switching frequency. For example, if the switching frequency is 300kHz, the cutoff frequency should be <30kHz. The final π-type filter has an inductor of 2.2μH and a capacitor of 220μF + 0.1μF. The measured insertion loss is >40dB. The filter meets EN55032 Class B standards for 150kHz-30MHz.
