Suppressing interference on the MC Profinet interface of the motion controller requires port filtering, protection, and good installation practices. Profinet also uses differential transmission, so PCB trace impedance matching must be ensured. Use a high-quality network transformer near the PHY chip, with its center tap grounded via a capacitor. A common-mode choke can be added after the connector. Provide symmetrical TVS protection for signal lines. Use shielded industrial Ethernet cable, with the shield grounded at a low impedance through the metal connector housing at the controller end; M12 or RJ45 shielded connectors are preferred.
Ensure the controller housing is properly grounded. Keep cables away from power cables during installation. For applications with high real-time requirements, the Profinet IRT protocol can be used, which offers stronger immunity. Perform relevant immunity tests, such as the industrial environment test levels specified in IEC 61800-3, to ensure stable communication in complex electromagnetic environments.
