The FCC certification radiated emission requirements for data center switches are based on FCC Part 15 Subpart B, Class A (industrial) or Class B (residential). The test frequency is 30MHz-40GHz (5 times the maximum operating frequency), with limits as follows: Class A @3m 30-88MHz 49.5dBμV/m, 88-216MHz 53.9dBμV/m, 216-960MHz 56.2dBμV/m, >960MHz 60dBμV/m; Class B limits are more stringent, approximately 6-10dB. Etymex's complete filtering and shielding solution ensures a radiation margin of >6dB for the entire unit and has assisted multiple switches in obtaining FCC ID certification.
