Do the harmonic currents of data center switches meet the national standard limits?

Harmonic current emission testing for data center switches follows the GB17625.1/IEC61000-3-2 standard, applicable to devices with input current ≤16A. Class D devices (personal computers and monitors) have the most stringent limits: 3rd harmonic <2.30mA/W, 5th <1.14mA/W, 7th <0.77mA/W, 9th <0.40mA/W, 11-39th <0.33mA/W. Switching power supplies must be equipped with active PFC circuitry to achieve a power factor >0.95; passive PFC (inductor + capacitor) is difficult to meet Class D limits. Etymotic recommends a PFC inductor such as the PWR6045R4R7M0T, which can reduce harmonic distortion to below 10% for certification.
