What level of standard should the EFT test of a data center switch power supply meet?

The Electrical Fast Transient/Bulk Transient (EFT) test for the power supply ports of data center switches is conducted according to the IEC 61000-4-4 standard. Industrial environment equipment must meet Class 4 ±4kV (5/50ns repetition frequency 5kHz or 100kHz). The recommended filtering solution from Audiotech Electronics is as follows: a CMZ7060A-701T common-mode inductor (700Ω@100MHz) is connected in parallel at the power input to suppress common-mode EFT noise; a series SMD2920-150-16V self-resetting fuse does not provide filtering but protects against overcurrent; a 0.47μF/275VAC X capacitor is connected across the LN port to attenuate differential-mode EFT; a 2200pF/400VAC Y capacitor is connected across the L/N-PE port to discharge common-mode EFT. In actual testing, the common-mode inductor reduced the injected current by 62% during the ±4kV EFT test, meeting the Class 4 A rating.
