The performance stability of data center switches in strong electromagnetic environments (such as 10V/m-30V/m radiation fields) depends on the redundancy of the chassis shielding and PCB filtering design. Actual measurements show that models using fully shielded chassis (shielding effectiveness >40dB) exhibit throughput fluctuations of <1% at a 30V/m field strength, while unshielded plastic chassis models experience 5-10% packet loss at 10V/m. Etymex's high-reliability design solution utilizes beryllium copper springs at chassis seams, achieving a shielding effectiveness of 50dB@1GHz; all external interfaces are equipped with common-mode inductors CMZ2012A-900T; the internal clock circuit features partial shielding; and the power module complies with IEC61000-4-3 20V/m requirements. This solution has passed State Grid Class A certification.
