The selection of electromagnetic shielding materials for edge computing boxes requires a comprehensive consideration of shielding effectiveness, environmental adaptability, cost, and installation process. Shielding effectiveness requirements: 60dB within 1GHz; conductive silicone foam with 25% compression and <20mΩ contact resistance is preferred. Environmental requirements: temperature resistance -40℃ to 125℃; salt spray resistance; nickel-plated carbon fiber conductive cloth foam is recommended. If grounding is required and extremely high conductivity is necessary, beryllium copper springs are selected. Audiotech provides a complete selection table for shielding materials, such as conductive foam for gap filling (CF-20 series), honeycomb waveguide plates for orifice ventilation (70% ventilation), shielding effectiveness 80dB, and optically transparent conductive film for display windows (88% light transmittance, sheet resistance <1Ω/□). After selection, insertion loss must be measured according to ASTM D4935 or the flange coaxial method for verification.
