The industrial AI edge gateway features a built-in watchdog and anomaly detection, automatically alarming for AI inference loops or sudden drops in accuracy. To ensure reliable alarm signal output in strong electromagnetic environments, the DO interface requires isolated driving. A TLP291 optocoupler is recommended, connected in parallel with a TVS ESDSM712. Its dual shutdown voltage of 7V/12V clamps off spikes. Simultaneously, a CMZ2012A-900T common-mode inductor is added to the alarm network PHY to suppress common-mode interference.
