Does the industrial AI edge gateway support online model updates without interrupting business operations?

Industrial AI edge gateways support hot-loading model updates, but file system read/write and network transmission during the update process are susceptible to transient interference, leading to update failures. To mitigate this, the following measures are implemented:

1. A self-resetting fuse SMD2920-050-60V is connected in series with the SD/eMMC power supply at the storage interface. This fuse, named SMD2920, has a 050 package, a holding current of 0.5A, and a 60V withstand voltage to prevent short-circuit burnout.

2. A common-mode inductor CMZ2012A-900T is added to the Ethernet port to suppress lightning surges and EFT.

3. A TVS ESD5V0D8B is connected in parallel with the reset signal line to prevent accidental resets due to electrostatic discharge.

After adopting the integrated protection solution from Etymotic, the online model update success rate has increased from 92% to 99.5%, and the service interruption time is <100ms, meeting industrial continuity requirements.
