The industrial AI edge gateway power module integrates input overvoltage protection with a shutdown threshold of 36V and overcurrent protection with a threshold of 1.2 times the rated current. To prevent accidental triggering from affecting AI tasks, appropriate hysteresis and filtering need to be set. A TVS 5.0SMDJ33CA and a resettable fuse SMD2920-185-33V are connected in parallel at the input terminal to form a combination of hardware protection and software strategy. At the same time, a 0.1μF capacitor is connected in parallel to the DC-DC enable pin to prevent transient overvoltage from causing shutdown. In actual testing, when the 24V power supply transiently jumps to 40V, the protection is activated, but the AI task is maintained by the energy stored in the capacitor for 50ms. After the voltage recovers, subsequent operation is uninterrupted.
