The industrial AI edge gateway uses fully shielded connectors, such as USB, HDMI, and RJ45 metal-cased connectors, which allow for a 360° low-impedance connection between the connector housing and the chassis ground, transferring impedance <1mΩ. This effectively blocks common-mode current from entering the PCB, avoiding AI data transmission errors. Compared to unshielded connectors, the bit error rate is 10^-4 under a 10V/m radiation field, while the shielded connector has a bit error rate <10^-9. Furthermore, the CMZ2012A-900T common-mode filter further purifies the signal. Actual measurements show that the shielded connector has 8dB lower radiated emissions than the unshielded connector in HDMI 4K video AI recognition transmission.
