Can the TVS protection device of an industrial AI edge gateway be adapted to the voltage requirements of the AI module?

Industrial AI edge gateway AI modules offer diverse core voltages: 1.2V, 1.8V, 3.3V, 5V, and 12V. The Audiotech TVS series covers the entire voltage range. For example, for 1.2V, the P4SMF3V3A is selected, but the actual VRWM is 3.3V, requiring a lower value; the SMF5.0A with VRWM=5.0V can be chosen for 5V power supplies. For 1.8V, there is no directly specified value; the bidirectional TVS P4KE6.8CA can be selected, with a VBR of 6.45V and VRWM=5.8V, clamping 10.5V, also protecting 1.8V I/O. It is recommended to select TVS based on the principle that VRWM ≤ protected voltage × 1.2. Testing has shown that the selected TVS for each voltage rail of the AI module is compatible without excessive stress or leakage.
