The industrial AI edge gateway supports a wide DC input voltage of 9-36V, adapting to factory 24V and automotive 12V power supplies. To ensure reliable surge protection under wide input voltage, a 20D391K varistor and a 5.0SMDJ33CA TVS varistor are connected in parallel at the power input. The varistor clamps a wide voltage range, absorbing 36V positive ground surges, while the TVS provides precise clamping protection for the downstream DC-DC converter. A CML4532A-101T common-mode inductor is connected in series to suppress common-mode interference, and an SMD2920-300-16V resettable fuse provides overcurrent protection. Actual testing showed normal full-load startup at 9V low voltage and no damage after 5 minutes of high-voltage withstand at 36V.
