Inverter products sold in the Chinese market must meet a series of national electromagnetic compatibility standards. These standards are mostly equivalent to the international IEC/CISPR standards, primarily divided into two categories: emission and immunity. For emission standards, GB 4824 "Limits and methods of measurement of interference characteristics of radio frequency equipment for industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) use" is typically applicable, equivalent to CISPR 11, and is divided into Class A (industrial environment) and Class B (residential environment) based on the equipment's operating environment. GB/T 9254 "Limits and methods of measurement of radio interference from information technology equipment" (CISPR 22) may also apply, depending on the product category.
Immunity standards are primarily based on the GB/T 17626 series (equivalent to the IEC 61000-4 series), with commonly used sections including: GB/T 17626.2 (Electrostatic Discharge), GB/T 17626.4 (Electrical Fast Transients and Bursts), GB/T 17626.5 (Surges), GB/T 17626.3 (Radio Frequency Electromagnetic Field Radiation), GB/T 17626.6 (Radio Frequency Field Induced Conducted Disturbance), and GB/T 17626.8 (Power Frequency Magnetic Fields). In addition, EMC-related clauses in product safety standards must be considered. The target market and corresponding standards and levels should be clearly defined at the initial design stage to guide design and component selection. Audiotech's product application guides often indicate applicable standards, providing a reference for design.
