Reference News, June 3rd — British media reported that the CEO of the UK's largest independent microchip company stated that if the technology trade war escalates, the electronics industry will have no choice but to side with China against the United States, because "all components are manufactured in China and Asia."
According to a report from The Daily Telegraph website on June 1, Jalal Bagherli, CEO of Dialog Semiconductor, told reporters: "For electronics and chip companies, I don't think we have many choices. China is where all components are manufactured."
Dialog Semiconductor, headquartered in Reading, UK, with a market valuation exceeding £2 billion (approximately 17.4 billion RMB), is one of the few successful technology companies in Britain that has not been acquired by foreign buyers.
Bagherli said: "Some are already taking action, opting for Asian and European suppliers over American ones wherever possible."
