The system's EMC design must balance transmission and interference immunity. RFID readers should be medical-environment-appropriate models with adjustable transmission power to the lowest effective level, and antennas should be located away from operating tables and critical equipment. Shielded cables should be used for the power supply of cameras and monitors, and high-quality coaxial or shielded network cables should be used for video signals. Access controllers and servers should be installed in relatively "clean" areas of the operating room (e.g., control rooms). If indoor installation is necessary, shielded cabinets must be installed. All equipment metal casings should be grounded. Fiber optic transmission is the optimal choice for the system network, as it completely isolates electrical interference.
