Clean benches (vertical/horizontal flow) must meet GB 9706.1, YY 0505 (domestic), and IEC 60601-1-2 (international) EMC standards. Their operating principle is simpler than that of biosafety cabinets, mainly consisting of a fan, filter, lighting, and speed control. Standards require that conducted interference generated by the fan speed control circuit (e.g., SCR voltage regulation or EC motor speed control) meet standards, with stable airflow, flicker-free lighting, and no interference when using precision electronic instruments (e.g., balances, pipettes) near the bench.
