EMC design for sterilizers emphasizes process reliability. RC snubbers should be added to the control terminals of AC contactors or solid-state relays for high-power heating elements, and the heater power lines may have ferrite cores. An AC filter should be installed on the power line of the vacuum pump motor. All pressure and temperature sensor signals should be transmitted using 4-20mA current loops or isolated transmitters with strong anti-interference capabilities. PLCs or dedicated controllers should be industrial-grade products, and their power supplies should be equipped with UPS or voltage regulators to cope with power grid fluctuations. The heavy metal doors and chambers of the equipment themselves act as good shielding and should be reliably grounded. Control panels should be kept away from high-temperature and high-pressure areas.
