The core of EMC in a lithotripsy system is isolation from laser pulse interference. The camera unit should be specifically designed for transient interference with high dV/dt and high dI/dt, employing special shielding materials and circuit protection technologies. The trigger signal line of the laser lithotripter must be physically separated from the signal line of the camera system and use an independent shielding layer. Ideally, the camera unit and the laser unit should use different power sockets, or even be powered by an isolation transformer. During surgery, the endoscopic fiber optic cable and other cables should be properly secured to avoid loops with the laser fiber optic cable. Choosing a brand-name camera system with excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) recording capabilities is crucial.
