The arthroscopic system requires enhanced EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) immunity. The video processing section of the camera unit should employ a superior shielding design, potentially using a double-layer shield. Connections to the lens should utilize fully digital interfaces (e.g., HD-SDI), which offer stronger interference immunity than analog signals. A targeted high-frequency filter can be installed at the camera unit's power input to filter out specific frequency noise generated by the planer and radio frequency equipment. During surgery, the routing of arthroscopic cables and power equipment cables should be carefully planned to avoid parallel and close contact, minimizing coupling. A reliable system grounding is essential.
