Dental implant machines (surgical power systems) must comply with GB 9706.1, YY 0505 (domestic), and IEC 60601-1-2 (international) EMC standards. Their core components are a high-speed handpiece (typically >50,000 rpm) and its control unit (providing torque control, cooling, etc.). The standards require that conducted and radiated emissions from the handpiece's brushless motor drive circuit be controlled to prevent interference with the control unit's own sensors (e.g., torque and speed detection) and display unit. Furthermore, the device should not be a significant source of interference in the dental clinic.
