Home-use ventilators (CPAP, BiPAP) must comply with GB 9706.1, YY 0505 (domestic), and IEC 60601-1-2 (international) EMC standards. They generate airflow through a turbine fan, which is then controlled by an algorithm to provide therapeutic pressure. The standards require that their pressure control accuracy, leakage compensation function, and data logging remain stable in a home electromagnetic environment (e.g., appliance switches, wireless devices). Furthermore, the conducted emissions generated by the device should not interfere with other devices on the same outlet (e.g., desk lamps, mobile phone chargers). Quiet design also imposes requirements on the EMI of the fan motor.
