Electronic blood pressure monitors (arm-type and wrist-type) must meet GB 9706.1, YY 0505 (domestic), and IEC 60601-1-2 (international) EMC standards, and are generally classified as home medical devices. While the standard requirements may be simplified, basic safety and performance must still be guaranteed. They determine systolic and diastolic blood pressure by detecting oscillating waves within the cuff using a pressure sensor. The standard requires that pressure measurement and pulse detection be unaffected by common household electromagnetic environments (e.g., mobile phones, Wi-Fi), and that the displayed results be stable without misinterpretation or measurement failure.
