EMC rectification for cryotherapy devices targets valves and sensors. A freewheeling diode or RC snubber circuit must be connected in parallel across the coil of the solenoid valve controlling refrigerant flow to suppress turn-off spikes. If a compressor is included, an AC power filter should be installed on its power line. Shielded twisted-pair cables should be used for the signal lines of temperature sensors (e.g., thermocouples, thermistors), and the signals should be low-pass filtered and amplified before entering the control board. The main controller should use an isolated DC-DC module, and TVS arrays (e.g., ESD5V0D3B) should be added to the digital I/O ports for protection.
