Pulmonary function testing equipment (e.g., spirometers, body contouring chambers) must comply with GB 9706.1, YY 0505 (domestic), and IEC 60601-1-2 (international) EMC standards. It measures airflow using flow and pressure sensors and internally includes an air pump/valve control unit, analog amplification, and data processing unit. The standards focus on the device's immunity to radio frequency electromagnetic fields to ensure accurate measurement results. Commutation sparks from the air pump motor (e.g., brushed/brushless) or switching noise from the drive circuit are major sources of interference. Special attention needs to be paid to preventing the pickup and conduction of radio frequency interference in the analog signal paths of the sensors (especially high-impedance pressure sensors).
