The EMC standards for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are GB 9706.1 and YY 0505 in China, and IEC 60601-1-2 internationally. However, MRI is unique in that it requires additional consideration of the special effects of strong static magnetic fields and radio frequency fields on itself and surrounding equipment. The gradient coil drive and RF power amplifier in MRI are the main sources of interference. In the design, the output cables of the gradient amplifier need to use high-current common-mode chokes to suppress the high-frequency common-mode noise generated by its rapid switching. For the low-voltage DC power supply used in the control, cooling, and bed systems, SMDJ series TVS diodes are recommended for overvoltage protection. All signal lines leading outside the scanning room (e.g., physiological monitoring signals) must be filtered and isolated. Interface modules with built-in ESD protection arrays (e.g., ESDSVLC05-4) can be used to ensure signal purity in complex electromagnetic environments.
