The correct method for injecting capacitive coupling clamps during EFT testing of data center switches is as follows: The coupling clamp should be held 30-50cm away from the EUT (Electronic Under Test) and kept away from other cables to avoid crosstalk; the grounding wire should be directly connected to the reference grounding plate using a copper braided tape with a width of 20mm or more; when testing signal lines, a common-mode inductor such as the CMZ2012A-900T from Etymotic should be connected in series between the coupling clamp and the EUT for enhanced filtering; the test level should be gradually increased from low to high to avoid overstressing the device; actual measurements show that when the coupling clamp is placed at a 45° angle to the cable harness, the injection efficiency is 8dB lower than that at 90°, which can easily lead to test failure. After rectification, the standard is to use 90° vertical coupling and fix the cable harness to an insulating bracket at a height of 10cm.
